The AHA offers blended learning and eLearning courses. Students must complete a hands-on skills session to obtain an AHA course completion card.
Some employers may accept online CPR certification, while others may need in-person training. It's important to check with the specific organization to determine it's requirements.

Our Why
When my son was little, he choked on food in a way that turned my world upside down. In that terrifying moment, his face turned blue, and I had no formal training. I panicked, but instinct kicked in. I performed the Heimlich maneuver to the best of my ability, and each time I stopped, he would turn blue again. My heart was in my throat, but I didn’t stop. When the EMS arrived, they told me that if I had stopped, my son would have died.
That moment changed everything for me. The following week, I enrolled in nursing school. I couldn’t shake the thought of how close we came to losing
him, and I realized that knowing what to do in an emergency isn’t just important—it’s life-changing.
Now, my mission is clear: I want to empower people with the knowledge and confidence to act in emergencies. The skills to save a life shouldn’t be a mystery—they should be available to everyone. If I can share what I’ve learned and help someone else step up in the moment when it counts, I’ll feel like I’ve made a difference. After all, knowing how to save a life is a gift we can all give.
